New Life Drawing Sessions

We’re very excited to be starting a monthly life drawing session here at Epworth Studios.

The sessions will be led by Karmin O'Brien, who has an MA in Painting, Drawing and Printmaking, along with a Postgraduate Certificate in Education. She has led life drawing classes at Arts University Plymouth and spoke at their Draw (A) Life panel discussion in 2023. Alongside teaching, she’s an award-winning figurative painter, with her work shown in galleries across Devon and Cornwall. Karmin brings a great mix of studio practice and teaching experience, with a focus on observational drawing and building confidence through regular practice.

The sessions are open to anyone who wants to come along — you don’t need to be experienced, and there’s no pressure about what you produce. It’s very much about showing up and giving yourself the time to draw and experiment!

More than anything, it’s a simple way of bringing people together in the same space, which feels like a big part of what we’re trying to nurture here in Liskeard.
